The After-School Imaginariam Classroom

While afterschool needs to be fun, we also need to reinforce what was taught during the day.

From homework help to basketball drills and dance, we will help your child unwind from a day of rigorous academics by providing them with a fun, but educational social setting.

Our Afterschool staff will provide children with various activities during the week.

Here is a list of the variety of activities that we will have planned:

» Homework Assistance
» Social Skills (Assets)
» Enrichment Activities
» Multicultural Awareness
» Board Games
» Outdoor Play
» Creative Writing
» Arts and Crafts
» Peer Mediators for Conflict Resolution

Upon arrival from school, children will prepare for homework. Any child that does not choose to complete their homework assignment must read during the homework period. After the homework period is over, children will wash their hands and prepare for snack. After snack time, our staff will have various activities planned for the children or they may choose an activity on their own. Our classroom will have learning centers with a variety of materials to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.

The Afterschool Program will also have special events planned for them to showcase their talent, event times and dates will be posted in advance. This will give our afterschoolers the opportunity to invite their Families to come out and see how much fun they have at American Heritage Academy.
